A slightly skewed span railway bridge over Northgate Street, Station Bridge is part of Locke's Ipswich to Bury St Edmunds railway, which opened in 1846.
The bridge has a semi-elliptical arch of 54ft 7in. Its brickwork has inset courses, giving the appearance of ashlar block.
The bridge served as the line's terminus until the completion of the adjacent station.
